Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
Strong understanding of LLM behavior, prompt engineering principles, and generative AI frameworks.
Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or Vertex AI ecosystems.
Proficiency in Python and experience scripting with AI model APIs.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize text generation quality across diverse contexts.
Excellent written communication skills and ability to articulate prompt design rationale clearly.
Preferred Skills
Experience with LLM fine-tuning, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate), and knowledge retrieval systems.
Familiarity with NLP evaluation metrics (BLEU, ROUGE, BERTScore) and AI safety practices.
Understanding of human-AI interaction design, semantic search, and contextual grounding.
Exposure to multimodal AI systems (text-to-image, text-to-code, or conversational AI).

About the Role
As a Prompt Engineer at Ancile Inc, you will design, develop, and optimize prompt strategies to harness the full potential of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI systems.
You will collaborate closely with AI developers, data scientists, and product teams to craft effective prompts that drive accurate, context-aware, and creative outputs across a variety of business applications. This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation, linguistics, and software engineering, helping bridge human intent with machine intelligence.
Responsibilities
Design and refine prompt templates to optimize LLM performance across multiple tasks and domains.
Develop, test, and evaluate prompt engineering strategies for models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, and open-source LLMs.
Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate prompts into production pipelines and end-user applications.
Conduct A/B testing and fine-tuning to improve model accuracy, contextual relevance, and reliability.
Document prompt patterns, use cases, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing and scalability.
Build evaluation frameworks to measure and compare model responses using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
Research and apply advanced techniques such as few-shot learning, chain-of-thought prompting, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
Work with domain experts and business stakeholders to ensure generated outputs align with client goals, tone, and compliance standards.
